Sunrise, FL May 1, 2018 – Eyecast had a 3rd party conduct a comparative study between DVR/NVR based systems and Eyecast Cloud Service to determine reliability for storage and retrieval of critical video incidents. The results of the study showed that 99.9% of the time there were critical incidents for business customers on the Eyecast cloud service the video was available for retrieval. The study revealed that only 21.6% of the time there were critical incidents for business customers in view of their video surveillance cameras going to DVR/NVR systems the video was available for retrieval. The study explains that many different scenarios causing the lack of availability and over 50% of the sample customers used in the study included small-medium size customers who had an average of at least 25 locations and a centralized IT staff responsible for managing the DVR/NVRs.
