Optical Crime Prevention Announces a New Name; EyecastSunrise, FL January 1, 2011 – Optical Crime Prevention, Inc. (OCP) filed the paperwork to use “Eyecast” as a DBA.

Many companies get started with a name or logo that is selected by its founders without much time, thought or money invested in brand marketing.  When companies grow and approach the point when they go to market they revisit the name, logo, and branding issues.  This is the case with OCP.

According to the CEO, John DuBois, “we never liked the name Optical Crime Prevention, Inc because it didn’t accurately characterize the technology we were developing and we planned on changing it at some point”.  The company will retain its legal name of Optical Crime Prevention, Inc. and continue to use that to do business with suppliers and for legal documents, etc., however, the Eyecast DBA will be used for service branding of the company’s cloud based video surveillance service and general sales and marketing purposes.

Eyecast (formerly OCP) Announces New Funding on September 30, 2008Miami, FL (PRWEB) September 30, 2008 – Eyecast (formerly OCP) today announced a new round of equity funding for the Company. OCP is a service provider of Internet hosted video surveillance technology for residential and business customers initially in the Miami metropolitan area. OCP will use the new capital to fund continuing hardware and software development for next generation encoder, server and network management technology.

"Despite being in the midst of the worst credit crisis in the last eight decades, our 'A' round funding was fully subscribed, on time, and as planned" said John DuBois, CEO. "This is a remarkable achievement, especially since the new equity capital was raised from private investors during a time when most investors were liquidating equities and moving their funds into U.S. Treasuries in pursuit of a 'flight to quality'. Raising equity capital in the millions of dollars from direct private investors during this period is a tremendous achievement for any company and I believe it says a lot about our company."
